Named in honor of Queen Elizabeth I the “Virgin Queen of England”, Virginia is known as “the birthplace of a nation.” It was home to the very first English Colony in North America and is located on the East Coast of the United States.

Virginia is bordered by Maryland and West Virginia to the north; Maryland, Washington DC, and the Atlantic Ocean on the East; North Carolina and Tennessee on the South; and Kentucky and West Virginia on the west.
